Chronic Pelvic Pain (CPP) is pain which lasts longer than 3-6 months and may be located in the lower abdomen, tailbone, vulva/vagina, perineum, anus, and male genitals. In many women and men, back pain is also commonly associated with CPP. 1 in 7 American women between the ages of 18-50 have experienced chronic pelvic pain; 61% with no diagnosis. Additionally, abdominal or pelvic trigger points, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and depression are all conditions seen to be associated with causing pelvic pain.

What to expect
Pelvic floor physical therapy utilizes the pelvic floor muscle group as well as supportive and surrounding muscles to help with the functions of pelvic floor organs, bowel and bladder control, and assists in sexual arousal and orgasm. Through a variety of techniques ranging from the education of proper body mechanics, manual therapy, and pelvic floor specific exercises, the therapist will guide the treatment plan for the various pelvic floor dysfunction. The therapy will include a better understanding of how to reduce pain, increase awareness of proper body mechanics and everyday movements, and allow for successful return to daily activities.

An ergonomic and postural assessment program to help you identify structural and/or physical faults capable of causing your spine or spine related conditions. Although sit to stand desks can be helpful, many spinal conditions are not so simply fixed. During your evaluation we will recommend the optimal workstation setup that is specific for you and your tasks, as well as provide you a stretching and strengthening exercise program that will help in the management of your spinal health.
Post Physical Therapy Fitness: An exercise program designed for you by a physical therapist that has evaluated your weaknesses and movement dysfunctions, and whom is an expert in your injuries, medical conditions, surgeries, and exercise physiology. This program is helpful for those whom have completed their course of physical therapy, people with previous injuries or physical impairments, or people that would like an exercise program designed for them based on their movement dysfunctions.
